UK TV Reach: Star Plus & Rishtey Cineplex lead in UK

Star Plus firmly remained the UK’s favourite Asian TV channel by far, according to official BARB data for week ending Sunday 19th March.

Star Plus delivered a weekly reach of 929,000 viewers, followed by Rishtey Cineplex, which led the Bollywood movie genre with 610,000 viewers. Star Gold registered a reach of 573,000 viewers and was placed in third, while &TV raked in 540,000 viewers and Sony SAB TV with 516,000 viewers. Colors TV was next in the rankings with 504,000 viewers and Life OK continued its climb with a healthy 456,000 viewers, followed by Hum TV with 407,000 viewers, Zing with 397,000 viewers, Rishtey with 389,000 viewers and B4U Music with 335,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of Prime TV with 280,000 viewers, followed by Star Utsav with 226,000 viewers, Geo TV with 212,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 162,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 131,000 viewers, Venus TV with 127,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 118,000 viewers, PTV Global with 88,000 viewers and A Plus Europe with 61,000 viewers.

Geo News dominated the South Asian news genre in the UK with 292,000 viewers, followed by SAMAA TV with 284,000 viewers and NDTV 24×7 with 182,000 viewers. Dunya News was next with 173,000 viewers, followed by Geo Tez with 150,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 149,000 viewers, ABP News with 111,000 viewers, Times Now with 70,000 viewers and News18 with 52,000 viewers.
