Star Plus continued to pile on viewers, extending its lead over its rivals, according to official weekly reach data from BARB for week ending Sunday 22nd April 2018.
The channel delivered a reach of 694,000 viewers – up from 611,000 viewers last week. Colors was placed at No.2 with 391,000 viewers, Sony Entertainment Television with 282,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 278,000 viewers, Hum TV with 275,000 viewers, ZEE TV with 230,000 viewers, Hum Masala with 208,000 viewers.
The next tier consisted of Zing with 196,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 189,000 viewers, Rishtey with 179,000 viewers, Geo TV with 177,000 viewers, Prime TV with 137,000 viewers, Venus TV with 115,000 viewers, PTV Global with 112,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 75,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 73,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 67,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 65,000 viewers, NTV Europe with 61,000 viewers, ARY Family with 55,000 viewers, Living Foodz with 45,000 viewers, TV99 with 35,000 viewers and Urdu 1 Europe with 8,000 viewers.
Sony MAX did remarkably well with one of its best weekly reach data. The channel delivered a reach of 483,000 viewers. It toppled Star Gold from the top, which moved down to No.2 with 363,000 viewers, followed by ZEE Cinema with 247,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 242,000 viewers and B4U Movies with 226,000 viewers.
B4U Music was the leading South Asian music channel with a reach of 263,000 viewers, followed by MTV Beats with 128,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 113,000 viewers and Sony Mix with 108,000 viewers.
Geo News was the top South Asian news channel with a reach of 206,000 viewers, followed by ABP News with 181,000 viewers, New Vision TV with 152,000 viewers, Samaa TV with 147,000 viewers, Dunya News with 127,000 viewers and NDTV 24×7 with 126,000 viewers. The next tier consisted of Aaj Tak with 114,000 viewers, 92 News with 34,000 viewers, UK 44 with 31,000 viewers and News18 with 23,000 viewers.
