UK TV Reach: Star Plus drops again; Sony TV strengthens

Star Plus remained the UK’s No.1 Asian TV channel in latest weekly reach data. However, its reach suffered a decline, according to Sunday 10th June.

Star Plus fetched a reach of 510,000 viewers (last week 598,000 viewers), followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 387,000 viewers, Colors with 336,000 viewers, Hum TV with 332,000 viewers, ZEE TV with 265,000 viewers, Zing with 222,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 221,000 viewers, Hum Masala with 204,000 viewers, &TV with 185,000 viewers, Prime TV with 176,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 139,000 viewers, Rishtey with 128,000 viewers, Geo TV with 121,000 viewers and PTC Punjabi with 111,000 viewers.

The next tier consisted of Living Foodz with 85,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 81,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 72,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 63,000 viewers, ARY Family with 55,000 viewers, Iqra TV with 45,000 viewers, NTV Europe with 40,000 viewers, Urdu 1 Europe with 28,000 viewers and PTV Global with 23,000 viewers.

Movie genre
Star Gold was back at No.1 in the movie genre with 321,000 viewers, followed by Sony MAX with 252,000 viewers, B4U Movies with 233,000 viewers, ZEE Cinema with 216,000 viewers and Rishtey Cineplex with 154,000 viewers.

Music genre
B4U Music stayed top in the South Asian music genre with 172,000 viewers, followed by BritAsia TV with 160,000 viewers, Sony Mix with 109,000 viewers and MTV Beats with 67,000 viewers.

News genre
New Vision TV dominated the South Asian news genre with 286,000 viewers, followed by Samaa TV with 235,000 viewers, Geo News with 208,000 viewers, Dunya News with 184,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 126,000 viewers, UK 44 with 97,000 viewers, 92 News and ABP News with 83,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 50,000 viewers and News18 with 9,000 viewers.
