UK TV Reach: Star Plus continues to dwindle but stays No.1

Star Plus continued to reign in UK ratings, despite its weekly reach dwindling further, according to BARB figures for week ending 27th May 2018.

Star Plus delivered a reach of 526,000 viewers (last week 565,000 viewers), followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 361,000 viewers, Hum TV with 318,000 viewers, Colors with 297,000 viewers, Hum Masala with 290,000 viewers, ZEE TV with 276,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 265,000 viewers, Zing with 245,000 viewers and &TV with 222,000 viewers.

The next tier consisted of Geo TV with 175,000 viewers, Rishtey with 158,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 154,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 150,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 133,000 viewers, Living Foodz with 109,000 viewers, ARY Family with 108,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 100,000 viewers, Prime TV with 99,000 viewers, Venus TV with 98,000 viewers, PTV Global with 92,000 viewers, NTV Europe with 83,000 viewers, Urdu1 Europe with 81,000 viewers, Iqra TV with 74,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 58,000 viewers and TV 99 with zero.

Movie genre
Sony MAX stayed strong at No.1 in the movie genre with a reach of 337,000 viewers, followed by ZEE Cinema with 321,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 238,000 viewers, B4U Movies with 256,000 viewers and Star Gold with 188,000 viewers.

Music genre
B4U Music bounced back with a reach of 161,000 viewers, followed by BritAsia TV with 113,000 viewers, Sony Mix with 110,000 viewers and MTV Beats with 47,000 viewers.

News genre
New Vision TV topped the South Asian news genre in UK ratings with 252,000 viewers, followed by Geo News with 218,000 viewers, Samaa TV with 190,000 viewers, Dunya News with 121,000 viewers, ABP News with 110,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 109,000 viewers, UK 44 with 102,000 viewers, 92 News with 94,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 77,000 viewers and News18 with 43,000 viewers.
