Sony SAB TV moved up to No.2 in latest weekly reach data from BARB for week ending Sunday 21st January 2018.
Star Plus remained the biggest Asian TV broadcaster with a reach of 642,000 viewers, followed by Sony SAB TV with 382,000 viewers, &TV with 335,000 viewers, Hum TV with 331,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 324,000 viewers, Colors with 317,000 viewers, ZEE TV with 294,000 viewers and Sony Entertainment Television with 232,000 viewers.
The next lot of entertainment channels consisted of Hum Masala with 231,000 viewers, Venus TV with 228,000 viewers, Zing with 222,000 viewers, Prime TV with 188,000 viewers, Rishtey with 182,000 viewers, Geo TV with 152,000 viewers, ZEE Punjabi with 123,000 viewers, ARY Family with 122,000 viewers, NTV Europe and PTV Global with 116,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 115,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 80,000 viewers, Urdu 1 Europe with 71,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 67,000 viewers, TV 99 with 62,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 50,000 viewers and A Plus Europe with 17,000 viewers.
Star Gold stayed on top as the most watched Hindi movie channel. Its weekly reach stood at 400,000 viewers, followed by Rishtey Cineplex with 341,000 viewers, Sony MAX with 311,000 viewers, B4U Movies with 281,000 viewers and ZEE Cinema with 280,000 viewers.
B4U Music was the biggest South Asian music channel with a reach of 229,000 viewers, followed by Brit Asia TV and MTV Beats with 115,000 viewers and Sony Mix with 70,000 viewers.
Geo News emerged as the most watched South Asian news channel with a reach of 218,000 viewers, followed by New Vision TV with 202,000 viewers, Samaa TV with 145,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 101,000 viewers, ABP News with 98,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 92,000 viewers and Dunya News with 88,000 viewers. The next batch of channels included UK 44 with 60,000 viewers, 92 News with 58,000 viewers, Times Now with 15,000 viewers and News18 with 11,000 viewers.
