UK TV Reach: SAB TV & Prime TV surge

SAB TV and Prime TV surged in latest UK weekly reach TV data for week ending Sunday 11th September.

According to data supplied by BARB, SAB TV delivered weekly reach of 526,000 viewers (last week 437,000 viewers) and Prime TV scored 348,000 viewers (last week 277,000 viewers). The two channels were much further away from market leader, which remained Star Plus with 916,000 viewers (last week 821,000 viewers), followed by UMP Movies with 620,000 viewers (last week 686,000) and &TV in third with 534,000 viewers (last week 620,000 viewers). In fourth place was SAB TV and Star Gold in fifth with 502,000 viewers (last week 637,000 viewers).

The next tier consisted of Rishtey with 450,000 viewers (last week 452,000 viewers), followed by Hum TV with 431,000 viewers, Life Ok with 374,00 viewers, Zing with 351,000 viewers, Colors with 345,000 viewers and Geo TV with 262,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of ATN Bangla with 237,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 217,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 153,000 viewers, Venus TV with 152,000 viewers, PTV Global with 149,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 135,000 viewers and Brit Asia TV with 109,000 viewers.

ARY News dominated the news sphere in the South Asian UK news genre with 418,000 viewers (last week 416,000 viewers), followed by Geo News with 398,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 262,000 viewers and Dunya TV with 260,000 viewers. The next tier consisted of SAMAA TV with 250,000 viewers, with rivals ABP News with 167,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 158,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 150,000 viewers, Times Now with 60,000 viewers and News18 with just 13,000 viewers, following.
