UK TV Reach: Prime TV overtakes Star Bharat & ZEE TV

Prime TV accelerated in latest weekly reach data, while Star Plus remained on top and Colors moved up to No.2, according to weekly reach data for week ending Sunday 28th January 2018.

Star Plus’ weekly reach stood at 642,000 viewers – same as last week, followed by Colors with 348,000 viewers, Zing with 330,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 328,000 viewers, Hum TV with 305,000 viewers, &TV with 261,000 viewers, Sony Entertainment Television with 259,000 viewers, Prime TV with 246,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 224,000 viewers and ZEE TV with 218,000 viewers.

The next batch of channels included Hum Masala with 193,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 180,000 viewers, Geo TV with 172,000 viewers, Rishtey with 165,000 viewers, Venus TV with 142,000 viewers, PTV Global with 116,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 108,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 93,000 viewers, TV 99 with 90,000 viewers, ZEE Punjabi with 89,000 viewers, NTV Europe with 84,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 72,000 viewers, ARY Family with 65,000 viewers, Urdu 1 Europe with 62,000 viewers and A Plus Europe with 43,000 viewers.

Movie genre
Star Gold was the biggest Bollywood film channel in the UK with a reach of 410,000 viewers, followed by Rishtey Cineplex with 351,000 viewers, Sony MAX with 317,000 viewers, B4U Movies with 301,000 viewers and ZEE Cinema with 264,000 viewers.

Music genre
B4U Music remained on top with a reach of 230,000 viewers, followed by Brit Asia TV with 199,000 viewers, MTV Beats with 142,000 viewers and Sony Mix with 115,000 viewers.

News genre
New Vision TV dominated the South Asian news genre with a reach of 204,000 viewers, followed by Geo News and Aaj Tak with 178,000 viewers, Samaa TV with 170,000 viewers and ABP News with 114,000 viewers. The others in the pecking order were NDTV 24×7 with 112,000 viewers, Dunya News with 102,000 viewers, UK 44 with 91,000 viewers, 92 News with 69,000 viewers, Times Now with 30,000 viewers and News18 with 27,000 viewers.
