UK TV Reach: Prime TV edges pass ZEE TV & Sony TV

The Independence Cup cricket coverage was enough for Prime TV to beat ZEE TV and Sony Entertainment Television in weekly reach data, according to figures from BARB for week ending Sunday 17th September.

Star Plus remained the UK’s top Asian channel with 661,000 viewers (last week 691,000 viewers), followed by Hum TV with 383,000 viewers, Prime TV with 307,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 290,000 viewers, &TV with 285,000 viewers, Geo TV with 263,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 239,000 viewers, Sony TV with 223,000 viewers, Colors with 190,000 viewers, Rishtey with 187,000 viewers, ZEE TV with 179,000 viewers, Zing with 169,000 viewers and PTC Punjabi with 167,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of Venus TV and Geo Kahani with 155,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 132,000 viewers, Star Utsav with 104,000 viewers, ZEE Punjabi with 71,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 55,000 viewers, Urdu 1 Europe with 38,000 viewers and A Plus Europe with 32,000 viewers.

Movie genre
Star Gold led the Asian movie genre with 274,000 viewers, followed by Sony MAX with 249,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 222,000 viewers, ZEE Cinema with 160,000 viewers and B4U Movies with 139,000 viewers.

Music genre
B4U Music led the Asian music genre with 210,000 viewers, followed by Brit Asia TV with 121,000 viewers, Sony Mix with 92,000 viewers and MTV Beats with 56,000 viewers.

News genre
Aaj Tak dominated the South Asian news genre with 262,000 viewers, followed by NDTV 24×7 with 258,000 viewers and Geo News with 249,000 viewers. ABP News was in fourth with 238,000 viewers, followed by Samaa TV with 200,000 viewers, New Vision TV with 195,000 viewers, Dunya News with 190,000 viewers, UK 44 with 123,000 viewers, News18 with 35,000 viewers and Times Now with 20,000 viewers.
