UK TV Reach: Hum TV & Sony TV climb; ZEE TV falls
There were some significant changes in latest weekly reach data amongst Asian TV channels, with Star Plus, Hum TV and Sony TV dominating the Top 3, while ZEE TV dropped, according to official BARB data for week ending Sunday 29th April 2018.
Star Plus delivered a weekly reach of 608,000 viewers (last week 611,000 viewers), followed by Hum TV with 349,000 viewers and Sony Entertainment Television with 340,000 viewers. &TV was next with 283,000 viewers, followed by Colors with 272,000 viewers, Hum Masala with 232,000 viewers, Zing with 226,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 223,000 viewers and Geo TV with 216,000 viewers.
The next tier consisted of Rishtey with 162,000 viewers, ZEE TV with 132,000 viewers, Venus TV with 130,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 123,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 112,000 viewers, Prime TV and Iqra TV with 100,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 99,000 viewers, NTV Europe with 94,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 93,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 78,000 viewers, TV 99 with 73,000 viewers, Urdu1 Europe with 59,000 viewers, Living Foodz with 55,000 viewers, PTV Global with 53,000 viewers and ARY Family with 45,000 viewers.
Movie genre
Sony MAX retained the No.1 position in the movie genre with a reach of 416,000 viewers, followed by Star Gold with 402,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 306,000 viewers, B4U Movies with 263,000 viewers and ZEE Cinema with 214,000 viewers.
Music genre
B4U Music stayed on top in the South Asian music genre with a reach of 288,000 viewers, followed by Brit Asia TV with 137,000 viewers, MTV Beats with 118,000 viewers and Sony Mix with 87,000 viewers.
News genre
Geo News emerged as the biggest South Asian news broadcaster with a reach of 216,000 viewers, followed by Dunya News with 190,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 179,000 viewers, ABP News with 173,000 viewers, New Vision TV with 168,000 viewers, Samaa TV with 154,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 127,000 viewers, 92 News With 119,000 viewers and News18 with zero.
