UK TV Reach: Colors gets closer to Star Plus at No.1

Colors has got closest yet to UK market leader, Star Plus in latest weekly reach data for week ending Sunday 16th July.

Star Plus remained the No.1 Asian TV channel in the UK but its viewership decline continued. The channel’s weekly reach dropped from 761,000 viewers to 733,000 viewers this week. Other channels are taking the opportunity to build its own audiences but the gap remains under 200,000 viewers. Colors excelled with 544,000 viewers. The telecast of IIFA 2017 pulled in 83,000 viewers and a further 57,000 viewers for IIFA Rocks. ‘Savitri Devi College & Hospital’ topped the fiction ratings on the channel with 33,000 viewers.

Colors was followed by Sony SAB TV with 518,000 viewers, &TV with 457,000 viewers, Star Gold with 451,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 431,000 viewers, Rishtey with 406,000 viewers and Hum TV with 399,000 viewers.

The next tier consisted of Zing with 373,000 viewers, followed by B4U Music with 338,000 viewers, Life OK with 331,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 207,000 viewers, Prime TV with 203,000 viewers, Star Utsav with 186,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 165,000 viewers, Geo TV with 158,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 155,000 viewers, Venus TV with 110,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 74,000 viewers, Urdu 1 Europe with 63,000 viewers, A Plus Europe with 56,000 viewers, MTV Beats with 48,000 viewers and See TV with 31,000 viewers.
