UK TV Reach: B4U Music surges ahead of &TV

In the latest twist of UK television reach, B4U Music surged passed one of the biggest brands in the UK – &TV, according to official data from BARB for week ending 30th April 2017.

The data kept Star Plus at No.1 with 863,000 viewers (last week 926,000 viewers), followed by Rishtey Cineplex with 480,000 viewers and Colors with 468,000 viewers. Sony SAB TV was at No.4 with 446,000 viewers – just ahead of Hum TV with 429,000 viewers, Rishtey with 419,000 viewers, Star Gold with 410,000 viewers and Zing with 391,000 viewers. B4U Music did well with 389,000 viewers – putting it in front of &TV for the first time, which could only manage 353,000 viewers – one of its lowest reaches since its UK launch. Life OK was next with 333,000 viewers.

The next batch of entertainment channels consisted of Geo TV with 272,000 viewers, Prime TV with 229,000 viewers, Venus TV with 195,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 168,000 viewers, PTV Global and ATN Bangla with 86,000 viewers, Star Utsav with 82,000 viewers, SEE TV with 64,000 viewers, A Plus with 56,000 viewers and Akaal Channel could only muster in 31,000 viewers.

The top rated South Asian news channel remained Geo News with 240,000 viewers (last week 310,000 viewers), followed by Samaa TV with 194,000 viewers, Dunya News with 178,000 viewers, ABO News with 150,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 138,000 viewers, UK 44 with 129,000 viewers and Geo Tez with 121,000 viewers. Aaj Tak fetched 118,000 viewers, followed by News18 with 24,000 viewers and Times Now with 18,000 viewers.
