UK TV Reach: Aaj Tak & ABP News overtake Pakistani news channels

Indian news channels have beaten Pakistani news channels for the first time in UK TV reach figures released by BARB for week ending Sunday 3rd September.

Aaj Tak led the South Asian news genre with a reach of 262,000 viewers, followed by Indian news rival, ABP News with 258,000 viewers. It seems the news coverage surrounding Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has given Indian news channels a boost. Geo News was in third with 251,000 viewers. The next tier consisted of New Vision TV with 211,000 viewers and NDTV 24×7 with 210,000 viewers.

Dunya News followed with 134,000 viewers, followed by Samaa TV with 128,000 viewers and UK 44 with 85,000 viewers. Times Now registered 17,000 viewers and News18 with 16,000 viewers.
