UK theatres shut doors following government’s coronavirus advice
Some of the UK’s biggest theatres have officially shut their doors after the government advised people to avoid social gatherings.
Variety reports that from tonight members of the Society of London Theatre (SOLT) and UK Theatre will suspend trading to help avoid the coronavirus illness.
Some of the members include National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, the London Palladium, the Old Vic and the Royal Opera House.
Theatres will remain closed until further updates from the government.
