UK ratings: Zing overtakes Colors at No.4

Popular lifestyle and entertainment channel, Zing pipped rival Colors to the post to grab the No.4 position in latest ratings supplied by BARB for week ending Sunday 8th November.

According to data released, Star Plus remained the most watched Asian channel with a weekly reach of 1,006,000 (last week 1,098,000), followed by UMP Movies with 731,000 viewers (last week 837,000 viewers) and Rishtey in third with 703,000 viewers (last week 681,000 viewers). Zing surged to No.4 with 674,000 viewers (last week 586,000 viewers). ‘Fear Files’ at 23:00 on Thursday pulled in 24,000 viewers – making it the most watched show on the channel. Colors was in fifth place with 644,000 viewers (last week 665,000 viewers).

The next tier consisted of &TV with 617,000 viewers (last week 761,000 viewers), followed by Star Gold with 581,000 viewers, Hum TV with 516,000 viewers, SAB TV with 498,000 viewers, Life Ok with 382,000 viewers and Geo TV with 292,000 viewers.

The bottom batch consisted of PTV Global with 280,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 269,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi and Prime TV with 253,000 viewers, Venus TV with 241,000 viewers, DM Global with 172,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 140,000 viewers, TV99 with 129,000 viewers and Akaal Channel with 124,000 viewers.

ARY News remained in pole position in UK ratings with 455,000 viewers (last week 619,000 viewers), followed by Geo News with 388,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 322,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 227,000 viewers, Dunya TV with 225,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 206,000 viewers, ABP News with 174,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 126,000 viewers and News18 India with 76,000 viewers.
