ZEE’s music and lifestyle channel, Zing is pulling out all the stops to maintain its recent surge in viewership.

According to the channel itself, recently launched show ‘Rock The Vibe’, has fared well. The interactive local show with discussions on a new topic everyday, has proved particularly popular amongst the under 30s group. The show is also cutting across the ethnic line and drawing in a White British audience, whilst also serving as a platform for UK artists and song requests.

The channel’s other local offering, ‘Brits Bollywood’, has been going strong for over two years. Presenting Britain’s take on Bollywood, the show has a high proportion of female viewers aged under 25 years, attracted to the glamour of one-to-one Bollywood interviews and the latest movie reviews. The show will also now be exploring more of the Hollywood scene.

Archana Kanade, Business Head Zing, UK said, “Zing is a channel that tests the boundaries and strives to build a connection with its viewers, whether it is via the glam of Bollywood, the nostalgia of its music, or the connection with the Brit Asian themes of UK life with the varied local programming. The viewer is at the heart of it all and we want them to keep that connectivity strong through our website, Facebook pages, in-show topics, presenters and events, especially when trying to connect with the youth.”
