Zing comfortably stayed ahead of its rivals to take the crown as the UK’s most watched Asian music and lifestyle channel.
Weekly reach data for week ending Sunday 13th January shows the channel with an overall reach of 538,000 – up by 83,000 viewers. This week includes data for the channel’s new local drama production ‘Cloud 9’, which has started off slow.
Star Plus remained the most watched Asian TV channel in the UK with 1,256,000 – one of the best audience figures for the channel recently. UMP Movies was second with 883,000 and Rishtey in third with 753,000.
Star Gold was in fourth with 617,000. Zing was sitting in fifth with 538,000 and Star Life Ok with 461,000 was in sixth. Sunrise TV refused to budge from seventh place with 359,000.
The bottom tier consisted of Sahara One with 292,000 and Sony SAB TV in ninth with 243,000. 9XM improved its performance with 239,000 this week.
Al Jazeera English led the news genre with 926,000 and ARY News in second with 430,000. Aaj Tak was back in third with 310,000.
