UK ratings: UMP Movies slips; Rishtey climbs to No.2

While Star Plus maintained its lead in the UK ratings, the battle for second place intensified, according to official weekly reach figures released by BARB for week ending Sunday 9th June.

Star Plus remained the most watched Asian TV channel in the UK with 1,186,000, followed by Rishtey with a weekly reach of 853,000 and UMP Movies in third with 833,000 viewers. Its been months since Rishtey has been managed to topple UMP Movies from second position.

Star Life Ok rose to fourth place with 572,000 and Star Gold fell behind its sister station with 555,000. Sony SAB TV was in sixth place with 476,000 and Zing next with 395,000. Sahara One was eighth with 303,000 viewers.

Al Jazeera English led the Asian news genre with 837,000 viewers, followed by ARY News, which fell to 237,000 viewers and Aaj Tak next with 230,000 viewers.
