UK ratings: Star TV rules with Star Plus & Star Gold

Star TV is ruling the UK TV ratings again with both Star Plus and Star Gold topping the charts, according to official data from BARB for week ending Sunday 21st October.

Star Plus remained the market leader with 1,255,000 and Star Gold was in second with 616,000. UMP Movies slipped back to third with a weekly reach of 594,000. Zing reached a new high this year with 553,000. The channel’s new strategy with weekend shows and daily movies is helping push it to new heights.

Star Life Ok was in fifth with 399,000. Sunrise TV was not too far behind with a weekly reach of 374,000. Sahara One in seventh with a weekly reach of 262,000. UMP Stars was steady with 226,000. Sony SAB TV remained last with 189,000.

Al Jazeera English remained the leader in the news genre with a weekly reach of 741,000, meanwhile ARY News could only manage a reach of 356,000.
