UK ratings: Star Plus continues to lead, UMP Movies climbs

While there is no change in pecking order, Star Plus continued to lead the UK market with a weekly reach of 1,166,000.

According to official data from BARB for week ending Sunday 3rd March, Star Plus remained the UK’s most watched Asian TV channel, followed by UMP Movies, which was up to 983,000. In third was Rishtey with 701,000.

Star Gold was next in the middle tier with 631,000. Zing continued its good performance with 544,000 and Star Life Ok with 462,000.

Sony SAB TV impressed 356,000 viewers during this week and Sahara One was watched by 214,000 viewers. The now departed Sunrise TV was down to just 161,000 viewers. 9XM was down to 103,000.

Amongst the news channels, Al Jazeera English led the genre with 768,000 and ARY News was not far behind with 527,000. Aaj Tak was in third with 305,000.
