UK ratings: Star Life Ok overtakes Zing & SAB

The success of Star Life Ok Screen Awards has pushed the channel ahead of its rivals including Zing and Sony SAB TV, BizAsia can confirm.

According to latest data for week ending Sunday 26th January, Star Plus led the ratings with 1,068,000, followed by UMP Movies with 707,000 viewers and Rishtey back in third with 646,000 viewers. Sister channel, Colors slipped back to fourth with 640,000 viewers. Star Life Ok jumped to fifth place with an impressive 616,000.

The next tier saw Zing in sixth with 536,000 viewers and Sony SAB TV fall to seventh with 504,000 viewers, while Lamhe remained at the back with 418,000 viewers.

Al Jazeera English dominated the news genre with 799,000 viewers, followed by Aaj Tak with 317,000 viewers, ARY News was third with 303,000 viewers, ABP News and Geo News were fourth with 294,000 viewers, SAMAA TV next with 188,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 followed with 162,000 viewers and News18 India was at the bottom again with a disappointing 55,000 viewers.
