UK ratings: Star Gold overtakes Colors & &TV

Star Gold has overtaken big Hindi entertainment channels, Colors and &TV in latest UK ratings provided by BARB for week ending 6th September 2015.

Flagship channel, Star Plus zoomed back up the ratings with a reach of 1,067,000 viewers (last week 909,000 viewers) – its the first time in six weeks the channel has crossed the 1 million mark again. UMP Movies was in second place with 739,000 viewers (last week 731,000 viewers) and Rishtey in third with 598,000 viewers (last week 623,000 viewers). Star Gold surged ahead in fourth with 586,000 viewers (last week 360,000 viewers) and Colors was in fifth place with 549,000 viewers (last week 698,000 viewers).

The next tier consisted of &TV with 519,000 viewers, Hum TV with 515,000 viewers, Zing with 482,000 viewers, Life Ok with 334,000 viewers, SAB TV and Geo TV with 308,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of Prime TV with 225,000 viewers, PTV Global with 217,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 180,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 172,00 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 162,000 viewers, DM Global with 148,000 viewers, Venus TV with 128,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 126,000 viewers and TV99 with 71,000 viewers.

ARY News stretched its lead further with over half a million viewers. The channel delivered a weekly reach of 521,000 viewers (last week 436,000 viewers). Geo News was in second place with 337,000 viewers, Dunya TV with 206,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 201,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 167,000 viewers, ABP News with 126,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 110,000 viewers and News18 India with 56,000 viewers.
