UK ratings: Sony SAB TV gets best ever figures

Sony SAB TV is going from strength to strength in the UK ratings, with latest figures showing the channel scored the best weekly reach in recent times.

According to data for week ending Monday 28th April, Star Plus continued to lead the market with 1,167,000 viewers, followed by UMP Movies with 942,000 and Rishtey with a huge jump to 905,000. Star Gold was in fourth with 572,000.

Sony SAB TV with 503,000. The three sitcoms ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, ‘Chidiyaghar’ and ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ helped push the channel to new heights. Each show hovered around 80 – 100,000 viewers during this week.

In sixth place was Star Life Ok with 477,000, followed by Zing with 450,000 and Sahara One with 256,000 next. 9XM was at the bottom with 170,000.

Amongst the Asian news channels – Al Jazeera English was on top with 802,000 and ARY News in second with 533,000 and Aaj Tak in third with 351,000.
