UK ratings: SAB TV climbs to new heights

SAB TV climbed back up UK Asian TV ratings beating the likes of Zing and Hum TV Europe in latest official figures.

According to official data for week ending 16th November, SAB TV had one of the biggest weakly reaches but remained behind Star Plus, which led UK Asian TV ratings with 1,104,000 viewers. Colors stayed second with 748,000 viewers and UMP Movies in third with 728,000 viewers. Rishtey was fourth with 679,000 viewers and SAB TV rounded off the top five with 634,00 viewers. The channel’s ratings may see another climb in weeks to come after it introduced a string of changes including Sony PAL fictions to its programming line-up.

The next tier consisted of Zing with 612,000 viewers, followed by Life Ok with 549,000 viewers, Star Gold with 500,000 viewers and Hum TV Europe with 494,000 viewers.

The bottom tier included channels like Lamhe with 379,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 193,000 viewers, PTV Global with 180,000 viewers and DM Global bottom with 172,000 viewers.

ARY News continued to dominate the news genre with 517,000 viewers, followed by Geo News with 283,000 viewers and SAMAA TV with 271,000 viewers.

Other news channels included Aaj Tak with 205,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 200,000 viewers, ABP News with 192,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 180,000 viewers and News 18 India with 65,000 viewers.
