UK ratings: ‘Saathiya’ tops Boxing Day ratings

Hindi drama ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ on Star Plus was the most watched show on UK Asian television on Boxing Day, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional.

The long-running show, which is aired at 19:00 grabbed a massive audience – averaging at 253,600 and peaking at 302,900 – one of the biggest ever audiences for the channel.

‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara’ was the second most watched show on UK Asian TV last night. Its 22:00 broadcast got the channel an audience of 162,300, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at number three with 160,500.

On rival, Rishtey, ‘Bairi Piya’ was the most watched show at 20:30 with 87,500, followed by ‘Na Aana Is Des Laado’ at 21:00 with an audience of 78,500. The third was ‘Jeevan Saathi’ with an audience of 65,300.
