One of Star Plus’ longest running shows ‘Saathiya’ continues to impress with a huge leap in its ratings, according to official data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional.

Data for last week saw ‘Saathiya’ win the 19:00 slot for most of the week on Star Plus UK.

On Monday 17th December, ‘Saathiya’ was the biggest show puller with 241,500, then on Tuesday 18th December viewership plummeted to 104,800 before rising back up to 174,100 on Wednesday 19th December. On Thursday 20th December, the show did well again with 144,400 and touched a high on Friday 21st December with an audience of 268,200 – one of the biggest ratings ever for the show.

In contrast, new show ‘Kaali Ek Punar Avtar’ is still yet to make any headway in the ratings. The show has failed to click with viewers in the way its predecessor ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ did. Looking at the ratings for the third week of the show’s existence, it got 122,200 on Monday 17th December. It dropped heavily on Tuesday 18th December to 83,800 before climbing back slightly on Wednesday 19th December to 109,900. On Thursday 20th December, ‘Kaali’ was back down to 67,100 – one of the lowest ever figures for the show. On Friday 21st December, the show averaged at 130,900. Overall, ‘Kaali’ remains the channel’s least performing shows in the UK.
