While Star Plus remained in safe territory over the 1 million mark, Rishtey and Colors increased their weekly reach in latest data for week ending Sunday 18th October.
According to official data from BARB, Star Plus delivered 1,013,000 viewers (last week 1,017,000 viewers) – reaffirming its position as the UK’s top Asian channel. The fight for the No.2 slot intensified between sister stations, Rishey and Colors. The former remained No.2 for the third consecutive week with 743,000 viewers (last week 791,000 viewers) and Colors at No.3 with 701,000 viewers (last week 709,000 viewers). ZEE Network’s channels Zing and &TV fought for the next two slots with &TV taking fourth place with 678,000 viewers (last week 731,000 viewers) and UMP Movies in fifth with 673,000 viewers (last week 733,000 viewers).
The next batch consisted of Zing with 639,000 viewers, Star Gold with 605,000 viewers, Hum TV with 496,000 viewers, SAB TV with 427,000 viewers, Life Ok with 403,000 viewers and Geo TV with 317,000 viewers.
The bottom tier consisted of PTC Punjabi with 229,000 viewers, DM Global with 209,000 viewers, Sikh Channel and Venus TV with 167,000 viewers, PTV Global with 121,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 114,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 100,000 viewers and TV 99 with 75,000 viewers.
The news genre was led by ARY News with 464,000 viewers (last week 485,000 viewers), followed by Geo News with 277,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 205,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 199,000 viewers, Dunya TV with 192,000 viewers, ABP News with 185,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 180,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 173,000 viewers and News18 India with 67,000 viewers.
