The Punjabi entertainment channel, PTC Punjabi continued to grow in the ratings with a reach of over 300,000 viewers.
According to official data from BARB for week ending Sunday 11th January, PTC Punjabi registered 339,000 viewers (up from 264,000 viewers) beating PTV Global (159,000 viewers), Sikh Channel (162,000), Brit Asia TV (201,000), Geo TV (238,000), DM Global (242,000) and SAB TV (298,000).
Another channel that had a huge jump in its ratings was News18 India with a very impressive leap from 39,000 viewers to 177,000 viewers. ARY News remained the leading South Asian news channel with 488,000 viewers (down from 512,000 viewers), followed by SAMAA TV with (309,000), ABP News (290,000), Geo News (283,000), Aaj Tak (259,000), Geo Tez (254,000) and NDTV 24×7 with 180,000 viewers (down from 230,000 viewers).
Star Plus stayed top as the most watched Asian entertainment channel in the UK with 1,024,000 viewers (last week 1,183,000 viewers), followed by UMP Movies with 792,000 viewers (down from 801,000 viewers) and Colors in third with 657,000 viewers (down from 670,000 viewers). Rishtey was in fourth with 569,000 viewers (down from 573,000 viewers) and Zing in fifth with 443,000 viewers (down from 531,000 viewers). Hum TV Europe was placed in sixth with 435,000 viewers (down from 465,000 viewers).
