UK ratings: Most channels witness decline

Most of the UK Asian TV channels witnessed some sort of decline in the ratings, according to official data for week ending Sunday 27th July from BARB.

Star Plus remained the market leader by adding only a few viewers in the past seven days. The channel’s reach was up to 980,000 viewers (last week 976,000 viewers). Colors was in second place with 574,000 viewers, up from 559,000 viewers. Rishtey was in third with 457,000 viewers – down from 527,000 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were UMP Movies (410,000), Star Gold (404,000), Zing (368,000), Star Life Ok (351,000), Sony SAB TV (331,000), Lamhe (263,000), Hum Europe (198,000) and PTV Global (161,000).

ARY News continued to lead the news genre with 335,000 viewers, followed by NDTV 24×7 (220,000), Aaj Tak (214,000), Geo News (196,000), ABP News (112,000), SAMAA TV (82,000) and News18 India (37,000).
