Popular Pakistani channel, Hum TV has overtaken Colors and Rishtey in terms of weekly reach in latest BARB data for week ending Sunday 1st March.
The channel, which has witnessed a surge in viewership over the past few weeks, has managed to take third place in UK ratings with a reach of 628,000 viewers (last week 568,000). It was behind leaders Star Plus (1,071,000) and UMP Movies (801,000).
In fourth place was Colors with 611,000 viewers (last week 647,000), followed by Rishtey with 609,000 viewers (last week 675,000), Star Gold with 503,000 viewers (last week 504,000), Zing with 497,000 viewers (last week 574,000), SAB TV with 478,000 viewers (last week 419,000), Lamhe with 462,000 viewers (last week 517,000) and Life Ok with 373,000 viewers.
The next tier consisted of DM Global with 291,000 viewers, Prime TV with 284,000 viewers, Geo TV with 265,000 viewers, PTV Global with 229,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 209,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 161,000 viewers and Brit Asia TV bottom of the pile with just 115,000 viewers.
ARY News continued its dominance amongst South Asian news channels with 552,000 viewers (last week 603,000 viewers), followed by Geo News with 356,000 viewers and Geo Tez with 297,000 viewers. Aaj Tak was the top Indian news channel with 238,000 viewers, followed by ABP News with 205,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 176,000 viewers and News18 India with 128,000 viewers.
SAMAA TV witnessed a slump in ratings due to a technical glitch during this week. It was removed off the EPG due to a fault. Its weekly reach stood at 68,000 viewers.
