UK ratings: Colors & ABP News surge
Colors surged in latest UK Asian TV ratings, while ABP News took second place amongst South Asian news channels in the UK.
According to official data from BARB for week ending Sunday 17th May, Star Plus remained top with 954,000 viewers (last week 1,008,000), followed by Colors with 798,000 viewers (last week 646,000 viewers) and UMP Movies in third with 738,000 viewers (last week 762,000 viewers). Rishtey was in fourth place with 636,000 viewers (last week 555,000 viewers) and Zing with 570,000 viewers (last week 594,000 viewers).
Hum TV was in the next tier with 503,000 viewers (last week 563,000 viewers), followed by SAB TV with 491,000 viewers (last week 511,000 viewers), Star Gold with 456,000 viewers (last week 450,000 viewers), &TV with 440,000 viewers (last week 469,000 viewers) and Life Ok with 420,000 viewers (last week 399,000 viewers).
The bottom tier consisted of Prime TV With 217,000 viewers, followed by PTV Global with 214,000 viewers, Geo TV with 157,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 149,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 143,000 viewers, DM Global with 135,000 viewers, Venus TV with 113,000 viewers and Sikh Channel with 96,000 viewers.
ARY News topped the South Asian news genre with 498,000 viewers (last week 454,000 viewers), followed by ABP News with 360,000 viewers (last week 316,000), Geo News & SAMAA TV with 279,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 203,000 viewers (last week 247,000), NDTV 24×7 with 165,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 160,000 viewers and News18 India with 55,000 viewers.
