UK ratings: ARY News touches ratings high

Pakistani news and current affairs channel, ARY News has beaten some of the Hindi entertainment channels in the UK by grabbing one of the biggest ever weekly reachesin recent weeks.

According to BARB data for week ending Sunday 24th February, ARY News got 485,000 – beating Star Life Ok, which got 440,000, while Sony SAB was next with 351,000 and Sahara One followed with 313,000. Sunrise TV managed just 307,000 and music channel 9XM was last with 169,000 viewers.

The other two news channels Al Jazeera English was on top with 898,000, where as Aaj Tak in third with 373,000.

Staying on top was Star Plus with 1,081,000 viewers, followed by UMP Movies – pulling in a reach of 885,000. In third place was Rishtey garnering 736,000 viewers. In fourth place was Star Gold with 551,000 and Zing next with 507,000.
