UK ratings: ARY News crosses half-million reach

ARY News has recorded its biggest ratings for a long time by crossing over half a million viewers in the latest weekly reach data from UK audience measuring body, BARB.

The figures were so good that it beat some of the bigger entertainment channels. ARY News delivered 557,000 viewers in data for week ending Sunday 17th August. Geo News had nearly half of the audience of ARY News with 321,000 viewers, followed by NDTV 24×7 with 205,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 185,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 167,000 viewers, ABP News with 165,000 viewers and News18 India with 52,000 viewers.

Star Plus was the most popular Asian TV channel in the UK with 1,145,000 viewers – up from 1,114,000 viewers. Colors remained in second place with 626,000 viewers – down from 727,000 viewers, while UMP Movies moved up to third with 649,000 viewers (last week 543,000). Rishtey was in fourth with 526,000 viewers (last week 645,000) and Sony SAB TV in fifth with 502,000 (last week 453,000).

The rest of the pecking order consisted of Zing (472,000), Star Gold (401,000), Star Life Ok (364,000), Hum Europe (257,000) and PTV Global (186,000).
