As well as audience figures, TV channels rely on impacts data, which measure viewing of advertisements. One impact is equivalent to one viewer watching one 30-second advertising spot.

Aaj Tak currently holds the lead in the Indian news genre, in weekly reach figures for week ending Sunday 2nd December 2018. The channel’s reach stands at 159,000 viewers, followed by NDTV 24×7 with 140,000 viewers and ABP News with 113,000 viewers.
No doubt, Aaj Tak’s recent decision to acquire the old Prime TV EPG slot, has helped it to garner more eyeballs. The channel now sits near the big Hindi TV giants like Sony TV, Star Plus, ZEE TV and Colors, lower down the Sky EPG.
