UK coroner confirms no foul play in Sunjay Kapur’s death
British medical authorities have officially confirmed that Sunjay Kapur’s death was due to natural causes, not foul play. Kapur tragically passed away during a polo match in London last month.
According to the Surrey Coroner’s Office, Kapur suffered from left ventricular hypertrophy and ischaemic heart disease-underlying conditions that led to a fatal heart attack during the game. “In light of this, the investigation has now been discontinued pursuant to Section 4 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009… there will be no need for an inquest,” the coroner stated, as reported by Times Now.

Initial media speculation had suggested Kapur may have suffered an allergic reaction after inadvertently swallowing a bee, which was thought to have triggered the cardiac arrest. His sudden death also sparked reports of a power struggle surrounding the ₹30,000 crore Sona Group, prompting further scrutiny at the time.
