The much awaited first UK Asian Television Awards (ATVA) have been postponed from February until June, can confirm.

In a note by organisers Star TV, the decision behind the date move is “at the request of a major sponsor”.

It further added that the awards will be open to participation by all channels and that the date and the venue details will be announced shortly.

ATVA awards are being described as a initiative to celebrate collective pride and the high standards of industry excellence in the UK.
