‘Udann’ star Meera Deosthale to play lead in ‘Vidya’

Former ‘Udann’ star Meera Deosthale will reportedly play the lead in Mahesh Pandey’s next, titled ‘Vidya’.

Times of India reports that the new show will be based around the importance of education. A source told the publication, “The story revolves around the education system and the importance of it. We approached Meera some time ago, but it was after a lot of back and forth that things fell in place. Meera is a fantastic artiste and fits the bill perfectly to play the character of Vidya. The show is set in a village in Uttar Pradesh.”

‘Vidya’ is expected to go on the floors in mid-June, ahead of its launch in August.
