&TV UK to air first Urdu drama ‘Jackson Heights’

&TV UK will be broadcasting its first Urdu series in September.

The show ‘Jackson Heights’, which aired initially on Urdu1, is an emotional drama which beautifully highlights the struggles and follows the lives of the immigrants living in the New York City to make their living.

The story revolves around Michelle (Marina Khan), Imran Bhatti (Noman Ijaz), Jamshed (Adeel Hussain) and Salma (Aamina Sheikh), who are trying their best to cope with life in New York. The show explores their lives and struggle for survival in a foreign land without a family to fulfil their dreams and desires. It’s a beautiful story of love, relation, friendship and hardships.

‘Jackson Heights’ showcase the interwoven lives of characters in the Diaspora, and tales of hardship from the usual fare of melodrama. With ensemble star-cast including Marina Khan, Noman Ijaz, Adeel Hussain and Aamina Sheikh, Jackson Heights is yet another star-studded presentation of celebrated director Mehreen Jabbar.

‘Jackson Heights’ will air from Monday 5th September at 22:00.
