&TV UK drops weekday afternoon films

The youngest channel from ZEE Network, &TV UK has decided to axe its weekday afternoon films, starting from 8th March 2016.

As the channel gears up for its one year anniversary in the UK next month, &TV UK will give viewers a chance to sample the earlier shows that aired on the channel during its launch period. It will drop the afternoon movie slot, which currently airs between 3pm – 6pm.

&TV UK will re-run three of its original shows ‘Razia Sultan’ (pictured), ‘Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls’ and ‘Badii Devrani’ between 17:30 – 19:00 each weeknight. The repeat telecasts of these shows will air between 11:30 – 13:00 the following day. This will result in current repeat telecasts being shifted to the afternoon slot where movies were telecast.

The channel’s biggest attraction – weekend movies – will continue to broadcast as normal at 12:00 and 16:00.

&TV is one of the UK’s most watched Asian entertainment channels with a regular weekly reach of more than 600,000 viewers.
