&TV UK to drop weekday afternoon films

&TV UK is set to drop its weekday afternoon movies later this month, BizAsiaLive.com can confirm.

Starting from Monday 29th May, the afternoon movies will be replaced with repeats of &TV shows. While the movies have done well for the channel, it is suggested that the change has been made to coincide with the imminent launch of &Pictures – a Bollywood movie channel under the & brand.

Weekend movies on &TV will continue to air. However, it seems the channel will premiere most of its big blockbusters on either ZEE Cinema or &Pictures from this summer.
