TV Today Network announces closure of radio business
TV Today Network Ltd. has announced its decision to shut down its FM radio operations, conducted under the brand name Ishq 104.8 FM, within the next six months.
The decision, approved by the company’s board during a meeting on Thursday, was attributed to prevailing market dynamics, as stated in a regulatory filing.
The network currently operates three FM radio stations in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata on the 104.8 FM frequency. Despite its presence in major metropolitan areas, the radio segment contributed only 1.7% of the company’s revenue in the fiscal year 2024 (FY24), prompting the decision to exit the business.
