TV strike back on; wage MoU scrapped

The dispute between the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) and the TV producers guild shows no sign of ending. The strike is back on!

It was only yesterday that FWICE had signed a Memorundum of Understanding (MoU) with the producers guild, in which they had agreed that the workers will move from a per-day payment regime to a monthly salary structure.

Various departments within the federation voiced their grievances, saying they were not happy with the settlement through the day by raising a protest outside the FWICE offices.

“We are scrapping the MoU signed by us yesterday on the basis of the reaction of the workers towards it,” Dinesh Chaturvedi, Secretary, FWICE said.

The debacle continues and so does the strike.
