TV broadcasters gear up for election results

The UK elections will not just see blanket coverage on British news channels but Asian broadcasters too have readied themselves for the results.

Newly launched Geo TV heads the Asian channels, which has been screening continuous coverage of the elections since early this morning. The channel has been airing debate shows, news reports and special announcements on its ticker. The channel has also been switching live to its reporters who have been allocated different spots in the country for the build-up to tonight’s result.

ARY Digital has gone all out by turning free for today to show off its coverage of the big day. It’s election coverage begins at 21:45. The channel is only free for non-subscribers on Sky Digital.

The new look PTV Prime is also living up to its new motto of bringing unbeatable coverage of current affairs. The channel has lined up a special live show from 21:30 tonight.

ZEE TV on the other hand will be running a special update at 23:30 tonight by linking to South Asia World for Our World Now. STAR News will also be relying on its sister station Sky News for reports throughout the night.
