&TV announces new fiction launch ‘Gangaa’

The new Hindi General Entertainment Channel ��&TV�۪, today, hosted a curtain raiser of their upcoming show ‘Gangaa’.

Produced by Sphereorigins, ‘Gangaa’ is an inspiring story of a child widow who is characterized with an indomitable spirit and will to survive. Determined to live life to its fullest and claiming what she believes is rightfully hers, Ganga�۪s character personifies the face of New age India ��� aspirational and resilient. The show brings together an ensemble cast that includes names like Hiten Tejwani (Niranjan Chaturvedi), Sushmita Mukherjee (Kanta Dadi), Rakhi Vijan (Prabha Mami), Gungun Uprari (Madhavi) and Ruhana Khanna (Gangaa) amongst others.

‘Gangaa’, the protagonist of the show, is a fiery young girl with an amazing zest for life. The story explores how the world perceives this child widow who is strong-minded with an undying spirit. She will be seen questioning age old customs of the society and her struggle for survival makes for an endearing and poignant story. Be it the aristocratic Niranjan Chaturvedi, her rescuer and a father figure to her, or striking an equation with the aged grandmother Kanta dadi, who disapproves of her, Gangaa accepts them in her stride.

The show is slated to air starting 2nd March, Monday to Friday at 20:30 on &TV.
