TV 99 boasts of nightly Bollywood blockbuster films

Independent UK Asian TV channel, TV 99 has been showing off its line-up of Bollywood blockbuster movies, which it has been airing every night at 23:00.

Last night (5th March 2018), the channel aired Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Airlift’ and has the following titles scheduled to air in the coming days ‘Neerja’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Kapoor & Sons’, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raman Raghav’.

What hangs a question mark over these movie titles is that they belong to ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited, Viacom18 and Star TV India. From our understanding, one of the broadcasters have told BizAsiaLive.com that it had not agreed any share-deal with TV 99 to air its films.

Previously, another broadcaster was accused of piracy for showing big movie titles without the permission of the rights holder. It is yet to be seen what agreement TV 99 has in place to air these films. BizAsiaLive.com is awaiting a comment from TV 99.
