When Sridevi spoke to reporters about the remake of the film ‘Himmatwala’ (1983), which she starred in opposite Jeetendra, her comments weren’t taken lightly.

The actress stated, “Himmatwala is no Mughal-e-Azam,” when she spoke of the film, which has angered superstar Jeetendra’s son Tusshar Kapoor. As reported by Times of India,Kapoor hit back questioning how Sridevi could make such a statement.”How can she run down a film that has given her identity in Bollywoodand is one of the biggest hits of her career?” he said

“My dad and Sridevi wereterrificin that film and though the critics panned it because it was a potboiler; I defend it because it is one of the films that my father is most identified with,” Kapoor added. He explained how he felt that no actor should slate their own film, especially one that they are well known for.

‘Himmatwala’ the remake will star Ajay Devgn.
