Trailer of Deepika Padukone’s next ‘Chhapaak’ release date confirmed

Deepika Padukone’s first film in nearly two years ‘Chhapaak’ will be hitting cinemas in January 2020.

The hard-hitting film based on acid-attack victim, Laxmi Agarwal, also stars Vikrant Massey. Now, its been revealed that the trailer of the Meghna Gulzar directorial, will be releasing in the first week of December, a month prior to the film’s release in January 2020.

Talking about the film, Padukone told The Asian Age, “I have chosen this film because I found the narrative interesting. I found the story compelling. The story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal required to be told. There was a connection between her grit and determination and the human spirit. I have chosen it in the same way as I would have chosen any other film.”

‘Chhapaak’ releases on 10th January 2020.
