If this actor – who is just two films old – can be seen in the future, he may need no introduction. In the gen next of B-town, he has cemented his name with his performances, his charm and most of all his attitude. When seeing Ranveer Singh in his debut movie, ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ (2010), it’s hard to thinkthat hehas never acted in films before. It is this natural ability to draw the audience in and keep their attention which won him accolades for the movie.
As Singh celebrates getting a year older, it’s evident after just one more film since his debut, ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ (2011), that his career is taking a well-deserved turn. 2012 promises hard work and completion of his two upcoming films but it is in 2013 that audiences will see Singh return with a bang. Both ‘Lootera’, opposite Sonakshi Sinha, and ‘Ram Leela’, in which he isgoing to be sharing screen space with his self-confessed number one, Kareena Kapoor, release in 2013. Both projects have a unique appeal of their own and are sure to earn Singh the credit he deserves as an actor and all-round talented individual.
After an eventful first half of 2012, which Singh has spent much of recovering from an injury, the actor is spending his birthday in Europe with his family before joining some friends on holiday. For an actor tipped to be the next Shah Rukh Khan by many, Singh definitely has a lot of expectations of him out there. BizAsia would like to wish him a very happy birthday and here’s hoping the comingyears and filmssee him becoming a superstar… no less than King Khan himself.
