Tom Hanks all praise for Aamir Khan
Though there are very few individuals from Bollywood who have made it onto the Hollywood platform, it’s not every day we hear any of the LA based film fraternity talking about the work Indian actors are doing outside of acting.
Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks was recently overheard commenting on Aamir Khan and��the work that he does��through his TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’.
“I really admire the work that Aamir Khan is doing (in India). Very few celebrities take the initiative of coming forward to change the society and he has done a remarkable job,” said Hanks, as reported by��NDTV.
Apparently, the Hollywood actor found out about Khan and his work in Times magazine, and was quickly drawn to what Khan was doing for India. He went on to add, “It’s the ‘giving-back’ that’s tough. Aamir seems to understand the influencing power of being a celebrity and is using it to act as a catalyst for change in society, something that definitely deserves both appreciation and support from all quarters.”
Khan is not one for praise as such, why he doesn’t even attend award ceremonies. Though it is certain he will definitely be flattered by being praised by one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors.
