Asit Kumar Modi, the producer of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ on SAB TV is set to take legal action over allegations made by actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal.
The long running series has been embroiled in controversy firstly after Shailesh Lodha accused the producers of non-payment of dues. Now, the show’s actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal has accused them of mental and sexual harassment.
In a statement given to ETimes, Bansiwal, who played Mrs Roshan in the sitcom, accused Modi of making sexual advances at her. She recalled an incident during Holi 2023 when they refused to let her go out of the shoot.

Asit Kumar Modi has denied all her allegations and released a statement, “We will take legal action as she is trying to defame me and the show both. Since we terminated her services, she is making these baseless allegations.”
