Tinaa Dattaa “irons out differences” with ‘Daayan’ co-star Mohit Malhotra

Television actress Tinaa Dattaa surprised many this week, after she spoke openly about her ‘Daayan’ co-star, Mohit Malhotra’s alleged sexual advances.

Dattaa had said that Malhotra had overstepped the line during a scene where they were to be intimate. There were rumours that the actor would be asked to exit the show but it seems this won’t be the case. Talking about the experience, Dattaa said, “I have done rape scenes, romantic scenes and intimate scenes before in my career, but never faced something like this with anyone before. He (Mohit Malhotra) is so annoying. He is so frustrated. Nobody gives excuses like him that woh scene mein bahek gaya tha. He can’t say he got carried away. He was obviously doing it deliberately. It is so clear if a girl is uncomfortable, you can understand from her body language.”

Malhotra hit back at the allegations saying, “If she was uncomfortable, why didn’t she tell me? We shoot on a set with 50 people watching us and everything is on camera. Nothing of this sort happened.”

In an effort to calm the controversy, Dattaa said she was willing to start afresh with Malhotra, “I and Mohit have ironed out the differences. We have concluded to make a new start. I don’t have any issues working with him. Our on-screen chemistry works for the show and shall maintain a professional environment for the betterment of the show. I am happy that our audience has liked the show and I am sure this new start will be appreciated by all and will put a rest to any further speculation.”
